As a prime minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs in China, he has a considerable contribution to founding the People’s Republic of China and especially for diplomacy. He was being called a “Good minister serves for people.” His reputation is widespread and highly recognized by Mao president. Zhou Enlai could be regarded as “Number two” in the communist party.
 
The reverse depicts the bamboo, which is an oriental beauty that commonly appears in Chinese painting. The symbolization of bamboo represents the character of moral integrity, resistance, modesty, and loyalty. This artist uses slightly splash ink work on the base of the bamboo and paints the bamboo in the formality of free sketch.
